Ingredients

Spice Mix

  • 1 tsp of MSG
  • 1 tsp of five spice
  • 1 tsp of white pepper
  • 0.5 tsp of cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 tsp of hot chilli powder
  • 0.5 tsp of chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp of sugar
  • 0.5 tsp of salt

Main

  • 500g of chips
  • 1 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • 1 onion (sliced) – large
  • 1 bell pepper (sliced) – green or red
  • 1 chilli (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves of garlic (minced)

Equipment

  • air fryer
  • wok
  • frying pan

Instructions

  1. Mix all the spices, sugar, and salt together in a small bowl.
  2. Cook chips according to package instructions in an air fryer if you have one for extra crispiness.
  3. While the chips are cooking, heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large frying pan over a high heat.
  4. Stir-fry the onion, bell pepper, fresh chilli, and garlic for , up to 3 minutes, until softened but still crisp.
  5. Add the cooked chips to the wok.
  6. Sprinkle the spice mix over the chips and veg, tossing vigorously to coat everything evenly.
  7. Serve immediately.
