Ingredients
- olive oil – for frying
- 1 white onion (thinly sliced)
- 4 slices of bacon (cut)
- 3 cloves of garlic (crushed)
- 320g of pasta
- 1 tsp of chilli flakes
- 1 tin of chopped tomatoes
- 2 tbsp of tomato puree
- 1 tsp of oregano – dried
- salt – to taste
- black pepper – to taste
- 100ml of double cream

Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over a medium heat.
- Add the white onion slices and bacon, then fry them for , up to 6 minutes, or until softened.
- Add the garlic and fry it for .
- Start cooking pasta according to package instructions in a saucepan.
- Stir the chilli flakes into the onion and bacon mixture.
- Add chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, and oregano.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
- Simmer for , stirring regularly until thickened.
- Stir in double cream and return to a gentle simmer.
- Mix in the cooked pasta.
