# Creamy Chilli Tomato Pasta

## Ingredients

- olive oil (for frying)
- 1 piece white onion, thinly sliced
- 4 slice bacon, cut
- 3 clove garlic, crushed
- 320 g pasta
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
- 1 tin chopped tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 tsp oregano (dried)
- salt (to taste)
- black pepper (to taste)
- 100 ml double cream

- saucepan

## Instructions

1. Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over a medium heat.
2. Add the 1 white onion slices and 4 slices of bacon, then fry them for 5 minutes, up to 6 minutes, or until softened.
3. Add the 3 cloves of garlic and fry it for 1 minute.
4. Start cooking 320g of pasta according to package instructions in a saucepan.
5. Stir the 1 tsp of chilli flakes into the onion and bacon mixture.
6. Add 1 tin of chopped tomatoes, 2 tbsp of tomato puree, and 1 tsp of oregano.
7. Season with salt and black pepper.
8. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring regularly until thickened.
9. Stir in 100ml of double cream and return to a gentle simmer.
10. Mix in the cooked pasta.
